Privacy Policy
Welcome to BOSS Projectors. We deeply respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy details how BOSS Projectors ("we," "us," or "our") collects, utilizes, and safeguards your personal data across our website, products, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information: This refers to any data that can identify you directly or indirectly. We collect this data strictly to provide you with the best possible e-commerce and home cinema experience.
- Account & Order Details: When you register an account or purchase a projector, we collect your name, email, phone number, shipping/billing address, and secure payment information.
- Communications and callback requests: If you contact support or request buying advice, we collect only the details needed to respond, such as your name, phone number, relevant projector or page context, and technical call status. If our specialist does not answer, is busy, or rejects the callback before we call you, we may send one service SMS about that callback request. A callback request does not subscribe you to marketing.
- Verified product reviews: If you submit a review, we use your order number and order email privately to verify the purchase. Your display name, optional city/province, star ratings, review text, and any photos or videos you choose to upload may be published after moderation. Do not include street addresses, phone numbers, order numbers, or other private information in public review content or media.
- Device Data: We may log non-identifiable regional data, product serial numbers, and model information to help with warranty claims and system updates.
- Environmental Projector Data: For smart features like "Auto Focus" and "Auto Keystone Correction," your BOSS projector temporarily captures depth and angle data of your projection surface. Important: This data is processed locally in real-time, is never saved permanently, and is immediately deleted once the focus/keystone sequence is completed. It is never uploaded to our servers.
1.2 Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We also collect aggregated, statistical data (such as general website traffic patterns). This helps us understand what products our customers love without identifying any individual user.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your information is primarily used to fulfill your requests and improve our technology. Specifically, we use it to:
- Process transactions, ship your BOSS projectors, and send tracking updates.
- Provide prompt after-sales support and technical assistance.
- Connect buying-advice callbacks you request and, if our specialist does not answer, is busy, or rejects the callback, send the one-time callback-status service SMS described in this policy.
- Send essential product updates, firmware notifications, or policy changes.
- Analyze website traffic to optimize our digital storefront and prevent fraud.
- Deliver relevant promotional offers (only if you have opted in).
3. How We Share Your Information
We never sell your personal information for money. However, to run a modern e-commerce platform, we must collaborate with trusted partners:
- Service Providers: We share necessary details with payment gateways, shipping couriers, and cloud hosting services purely to fulfill your order.
- Site operation: Hosting and security providers may process technical logs, including request and device information, to operate the website, diagnose problems and prevent abuse.
- Callback telephony and service SMS (Telnyx): When you ask us to connect a buying-advice call, we send the phone numbers and technical call data needed to Telnyx so it can place and bridge the two call legs and, if our specialist is unavailable, send the single callback-status SMS described above. We may also send an internal service SMS to our own callback phone with your name, phone number, and request context so we can follow up. Our website callback flow does not request call recording. We do not use callback numbers for marketing SMS, and we do not sell or share mobile information with third parties for their promotional or marketing purposes. Telnyx processes this information under the Telnyx Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements: We will disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
4. Your Data Rights
You have full control over your personal information. You can:
- Access, correct, or delete the data stored in your BOSS Projectors account.
- Opt-out of marketing communications instantly via the "unsubscribe" link in any promotional email.
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at support@usprojector.com.
5. Third-Party Links & Services
Our website may contain links to external sites or integrate with third-party apps (like financing partners or review platforms). Any data you submit to those third parties is governed by their respective privacy policies, not ours. We encourage you to read their policies before engaging.
6. Children's Privacy
BOSS Projectors and our associated services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16 without verifiable parental consent.
7. Data Security & Retention
We use technical and organizational security measures to protect your checkout process and personal data from unauthorized access. We retain purchase and account records as needed for customer support, tax or legal obligations. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the request and service records. Website callback records are normally removed within 90 days after reaching a terminal status, unless needed longer for security, legal or dispute purposes. Submitted reviews and media may be retained with their moderation records to operate the verified-review system and preserve the integrity of published reviews.
Newsletter subscriptions are optional. If you choose Subscribe, we store your email address, subscription status, consent wording, date and source page to send the US product news and guides you requested. Buying a projector or asking for support does not subscribe you. You can withdraw newsletter consent using the unsubscribe instructions in our messages or by contacting support@usprojector.com. We retain a minimal opt-out record to respect that choice.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for account security, shopping-cart functionality and regional preferences. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies can affect login and checkout functionality.
9. California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you reside in California, you have the right to know what personal data we have collected, request its deletion, and opt-out of its sharing for targeted advertising purposes. To execute a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" request, please email us with the subject line "California Privacy Rights Request."
